Privacy
With the new version 3 and the included ability to receive Push Notification it is required to share with you my Privacy Policy.
This privacy policy is here to help you to understand what information get collected and how those will be used when using the mobile application FAHMM.
What information get collected
Basically the following functionalities require an exchange of limited information from your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch
Push Notification
- Your (multiple) Donor ID/user name as actually used in your connected Folding@Home system(s)
- A unique device identifier created by official iOS API for usage in combination with Push Notifications
User Credit Tiles
- Your (multiple) Donor ID/user name as actually used in your connected Folding@Home system(s)
IMPORTANT: In all cases your individual
passkey will
never be transferred to the backend server.
In addition to the information provided from your device(s) the backend server will download from the public Stanford server the
official user and team statistics.
How information are used
This section outline how the information is used
Push Notification
- Your (multiple) Donor ID/user name will be stored in combination with the unique device identifier on a backend server
- Once every hour the actual statistics from the public Stanford server will be downloaded and processed in the a database server
- Once the official statistics are processed the database server will transfer relevant data to the backend server and deliver in case of changes a notification to all devices of users

- current count of work units
- team affiliations
User Credit Tiles
- In case the app is running on your device and you opt-in once an hour the backend server will be contacted with your actually configured user IDs
- The mobile application will cache in a local file the credit infromation and ask the backend server only once an hour to send back latest version of

- current count of work units
- team affiliations
What choices do you have ?
Standard functionality on iOS-based mobile devices is that a user can at any time opt-in or opt-out to push notifications. Please change the settings in the General Settings of your device.
For the user credit tiles you can configure not to show them; in that case your donor ID will not be transferred to the backend server.
